Our Beliefs
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to shatter the power of death and assure us of our own future resurrection. We believe that Jesus will return one day as He promised and that He will take His church to be with Him for eternity in heaven.
TRINITY
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and the only book inspired by God. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.
We believe the Bible teaches that God is the Creator and Sustainer of human life, that God creates each person in His image, and that life is, therefore, sacred, from conception to natural death.
We believe that God creates each person as male or female, that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the "image of God" in humankind, and that each person's biological gender is an intrinsic, immutable aspect of his or her nature and identity.
We believe the Bible teaches that God established marriage in the beginning as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman, that He has reserved sexual intimacy as an expression of love and commitment between married couples, and that any intimate expression of sexuality outside of Biblical marriage is sin.
SEPARATION
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.
RECONCILIATION
We believe that we are forgiven of our sins and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit when we believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, repent of our sins, confess Jesus as Lord, and are immersed in Christian baptism (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, 22:16). It is then that we become Christians and are added to the church of Jesus Christ.
CHURCH
We believe that the church is the body and that Jesus Christ is our head. We believe that assembling together as the church is a Biblical command (Heb 10:25). We meet together to encourage each other in the faith, to help each other, to pray for each other, and to be equipped for good works through the preaching of the Word.
